2026 Village Hall Bookings and Activities

Regular weekly bookings:

Mondays: 

19.00 – 20.00 – Boot Camp ([email protected])

Tuesdays:  

10.30 – 12.30 Drop by for Coffee and Chat 

12.30 – 14.00 Community lunch on third Tuesday of the month. Please book – contact Sonia Newman at [email protected]

18.00 – 19.30 Table Tennis Club – no need to book, just drop in

Wednesdays:  

10.00 – 12.30 Pilates (2 x one hour sessions) with Carole Bradshaw, telephone 01300 341861 or email [email protected] 

Thursdays:

09.30 – 12.30 Watercolour Painting with Norma Coward, contact [email protected]   

Fridays:

2026 Dates for the diary

Sunday 3rd MaySydling Duck Race at 2.30 pm – a quacking good day!

100s of ducks do battle to raise money to help us maintain our lovely old village hall.

£2 per duck or £5 for a family of 3. Tickets obtainable from John O’Connell 07711 917737 OR look out for the Duck Race Sales Desks by the Bus Shelter before the event OR by the finish line in East Street on the day.

  • Starts at Ham Farm, Finish Line by the Old School House in East Street 
  • Prizes £20, £10, 3 x £5
  • Have a flutter on the Celebrity Duck Race
  • Cream teas in the Village Hall from 2 pm

Sunday 24th and Monday 25th MayOpen Gardens.  From 2 pm to 6 pm on both days plus tea and cakes in the village hall. Only £6 a ticket to cover both days. Under 16s free.  Lots of wonderful gardens to see, large and small. (No dogs please other than assistance dogs). 

Tickets on sale at the Village Hall from 1.30 pm so there’s time for a cuppa before you start.

Saturday 6th June – One Voice Choir

Following their wonderfully successful Sydling debut just before Christmas, the One Voice Choir will be back with “Moments in Time” – timeless songs with joyful voices,  starting at 7pm.  

 Join us for a moving musical journey through emotion and memory – where sacred, pop and choral classics come together in a heartfelt and uplifting performance. From the economic sounds of Coldplay to the timeless beauty of John rutter a the vibrant energy of ELO, this programme weaves together beloved favourites across genres.  Not to be missed!
