Open Gardens

Sydling Open Gardens – 30/31 May 2022 – date for your diary.

We were delighted to have Open Gardens back for the May Bank Holiday 2021 albeit on a smaller scale and with socially distanced teas.  The event was planned to attract smaller numbers and 60-70 visitors came each day to see our stunning gardens. PLEASE PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY FOR 2022.

Virtual Open Gardens 2020 – Video, Photos and Cream Teas

For this year we created a mainly online experience for villagers to enjoy from home.

Many villagers took photos of their gardens and these are displayed below. We were also able to take a YouTube virtual stroll round many lovely gardens. Thank you to Alun Banks for editing and Hannah Judge for photography.

Thank you also to Penny and Charles who kindly opened their garden to villagers on an appointment only basis under strict social distancing rules.

To round off the sunny weekend, freshly made cream teas were available to order on line for kerbside delivery or as a takeaway from the Village Hall.  Many thanks to The Greyhound for providing the ingredients.  A donation has been made to Marie Curie.
