Village Hall and location
Located in the centre of one of the loveliest villages in Dorset, the refurbished and redecorated village hall at Sydling St. Nicholas is the perfect venue for weddings, parties, away days, and meetings of clubs and societies.
Set within its own grounds in a scenic central village location, it is located a hundred yards from our historic 15th century church. The village hall’s facilities can cater to a wide range of requirements, both big and small. The large brand new professional kitchen is ideal for cookery demonstrations and large event catering. The main hall, stage and changing rooms provide flexible spaces appropriate for a wide variety of activities. The hall’s excellent acoustics lend themselves particularly to musical events whilst the sprung floor is ideal for dancing and indoor sports. The smaller committee room is suitable for meetings and presentations for up to thirty people.
Sydling St. Nicholas is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Wessex Ridgeway trail with immediate access to stunning countryside walks. It is three minutes’ walk from the renowned Greyhound Inn, 9.5 miles from Dorchester and 12 miles from Yeovil.
Please go to About the Hall for a full description and price list. You can make a booking by email/post or contact us if you need more information or would like to ask us about your arrangements for weddings, business away days or family parties.
